1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Tenachine when you create an account or use the website at tenachine.com (the “Service”). If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use Tenachine.
2. What we provide
Tenachine offers research tools that simulate trading strategies on historical price data and surface public 13F filings from US institutional investors.
- A backtest engine that runs strategies you describe in plain English on historical daily bars.
- A 13F screener, ranking, and per-investor analyzer.
- Optional alerts that notify you when chosen managers add a position.
Data sources include public regulatory filings and licensed market data. We do our best to keep them accurate but we cannot guarantee freedom from errors, omissions, or delays.
3. Not investment advice
Tenachine is research and education only. Nothing on the Service is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, nor is it personal financial advice. We are not a registered broker-dealer, investment adviser, or financial planner.
Backtests are simulations of the past. They depend on assumptions, data quality, and your strategy description. Past performance does not guarantee future results. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions and any losses you incur.
4. Accounts
You sign in with a third-party identity provider (currently Google or X) via Supabase Auth. Keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service, scrape data at scale, attempt to bypass billing, or violate these Terms.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Tenachine is sold on a subscription basis. We offer a free trial; afterwards, continued access requires an active monthly or annual plan paid via Stripe.
Trial
The trial period is shown in your account. We do not require a payment method to start it.
Charges, renewal, cancellation
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time from Account → Billing → Manage subscription; access continues to the end of the period you already paid for.
- Prices are shown at checkout in USD. Taxes may be added based on your billing country.
Refunds
We don't offer prorated refunds for partial periods, but we're reasonable: if you're billed by mistake or never used the Service, write to billing@tenachine.com and we'll sort it out.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, model weights, or proprietary logic.
- Scrape, mirror, or systematically harvest data from the Service for redistribution.
- Use the Service to build a competing product, train a substitute model, or resell access.
- Probe, scan, or stress-test infrastructure beyond what your subscription tier allows.
- Submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or designed to harm others.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, our software, branding, copy, and aggregated outputs are owned by Tenachine and our licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal or internal business research while your subscription is active.
You retain ownership of strategies, notes, and other content you submit. By submitting it, you grant us a licence to store and process it as needed to operate the Service.
8. Warranty disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Specifically, we do not warrant that backtest outputs are accurate, error-free, or predictive of future performance.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tenachine and its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any trading losses or lost profits, arising from or related to your use of the Service.
Our aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Tenachine harmless from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of someone else's rights.
11. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update the Service or these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we'll let you know by email or in the app. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the new Terms.
12. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Account → Billing → Manage subscription → Cancel. We can suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or fail to pay.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute that isn't resolved informally goes to the courts of Paris, France, and you agree to that jurisdiction.
